Jan Showers
Glamorous rooms

Glamorous Rooms showcases the elegant eclecticism of renowned designer Jan Showers’s interiors, including many projects unpublished until now. Her work, whether revealed through the rooms in a high-rise, townhouse, or horse farm, never ceases to strike a perfect balance between totally captivating and perfectly inviting. As fashion designer Michael Kors, who wrote the foreword for this book, explains it, the key is in the mix. “Design like Jan’s fuses great taste and an expert eye with the reality of life as it is actually lived. That’s why people are always so astonished at her glamorous touch —because it’s built into designs that are functional and comfortable and fun.”

Paul-Gerard Pasols
Louis Vuitton: The Birth of Modern Luxury

This book provides a comprehensive history of the House of Vuitton in the context of sweeping changes in society, art, culture, fashion, and, above all, travel. Vuitton's goods have been highly innovative and coveted since their inception, which led to the introduction in 1896 of a distinctive "LV" monogrammed canvas. A 1987 merger with Moet-Hennessy made it part of the world's largest luxury goods company, and the 1997 appointment of American designer Marc Jacobs as artistic director expanded the legendary brand's reach into apparel, shoes, jewelry, and watches. The book also explores the company's continued commitment to excellence and travel, reflected by its involvement in the arts and its sponsorship of vintage automobile rallies and the Louis Vuitton Cup, a yacht race. Overseen by LVMH, the book itself demonstrates Louis Vuitton's passion for fine design. It is abundantly illustrated by a stunning array of archival art, historical images, product designs and sketches, and Louis Vuitton's cutting-edge advertising.

The World according to Karl

Karl Lagerfeld Book Cover Quotes World According to karl

The German designer’s most memorable quotes are the subject of a book edited by Patrick Mauriès and Jean-Christophe Napias, and published by Flammarion

Creative director at Fendi womenswear since 1977,Chanel since 1983 and his own eponymous label since 1998, Karl Lagerfeld’s creativity is shown collection after collection, season after season. Another factor in the creation of the Lagerfeld myth, however, are his Karlisms, the biting witticisms that have been around the world and back again including such memorable quotes as “luxury is having a free spirit, being independent - in short, being politically incorrect” and “I think tattoos are horrible, it’s like wearing a Pucci dress for life”, now compiled and edited by the author and translator Jean-Christophe Napias, under the direction of journalist and editor Patrick Mauriès.

“What i like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.”

“One is never over-dressed or underdressed with a Little Black Dress.”

“Books are a hard-bound drug with no danger of an overdose. I am the happy victim of books.”

Look at this brand, It has a special story, watch the video, it seems a old movie, here their presentation
Enjoy :)

Anecdotes. It’s the things that happen to us, the stories we share with our friends and family. Every ANECDOTE collection is based on one of such stories. Snap-shots of these anecdotes are hidden in the garments, visible on hang-tags and packaging.
The brand reflects the life of Jet van Beuningen who started Anecdote in 2009. Her friends and family are very important to her so naturally that they play an important role in the brand. Her own life and adventures are closely-knit with theirs. She wanted to make essential pieces in great qualities to wear every day.
